For me, 2007 has been a year of many ups and downs. A few firsts happened this year along with the end of another chapter of my life. Overall it has been a good year and I hope that 2008 brings me more joy.
Keep reading for the month-by-month breakdown.
January
- Registered for hosting at DreamHost but didn’t do much with my old website until a few months later.
February
- Nothing much happened during this month. Spent most of the month working.
March
- Became the proud owner of a Sony PlayStation 3 (60GB AU Version)
April
- Went to the Queensland Science Centre for the first time since I was in primary school and it moved to downstairs of the Queensland Museum
- Purchased my first piece of official Linkin Park merchandise (from the USA)
May
- Found out that Alice Cooper was going to tour Australia and got tickets for myself, mum and dad (front row).
- Took first plane flight to Sydney from Brisbane and was selected for a “Random Explosive Test” on my carry-on bag.
- Attended my first formal dinner and awards night that Griffith University paid for.
June
- Took second plane flight back to Brisbane from Sydney. No testing this time.
July
- Celebrated my 21st Birthday with family and friends at home. Was not the celebration I had been looking forward to as not as many people turned up. Invites were sent out in April. Didn’t get drunk only drank 1 six pack of UDL cans. Don’t know about celebrating my 22nd with a party. Might just have a quite night at home.
- Went to the Alice Cooper concert. FUCKING AWESOME!!!! (I can swear, I’m an adult) Considering his age he still makes the popular rock artists of today look like children running around screaming.
- After 4 years of waiting for my Laptop from my parents I got fed up and purchased one at the end of July for my final 6 months of University.
August
- Got Linkin Park concert tickets (not front row but still good seats)
- Received my second Tax Return from the Australian Tax Office (first one I had only been working for 3 weeks so this really feels like my first)
September
- Spent this month going to University and working (nothing much happened)
October
- Purchased tickets to The Veronicas concert for me and my sister for her Christmas/Birthday present (she will still be getting other things, but big brother has outdone mum and dad this year, sorry mum)
- Attended the Linkin Park concert. OMG It was Alice Cooper all over again, but with a few more people and more lights (I think). All the classics were played and the opening song was just brilliant.
November
- Finished my University studies and was awaiting approval for graduation.
December
- Was approved to graduate from university
- Attended The Veronicas concert with my little sister. Was a very good concert and they really get involved with the crowd, which is good to see. So many artists don’t do that any more.
- Graduated from University with the robe and all many photos were taken. Now I’m an University Graduate with a Bachelor of Internet Computing. So that means I can make websites, network and web applications and stuff. Go me!!
So that is 2007, just Christmas left to go. I wont be doing much this Christmas. I would love for the whole family to get together but that is not going to happen. There are too many arguments still going on in the family which is quite sad since this has been the first year my dad lost his father to cancer. R.I.P. Pop, I still wish you were here. You were the rock that kept everything in line.
So I will wait and see what 2008 brings. Hopefully more happiness to myself, family and friends.
I wish everyone a Merry Christmas and hope 2008 is a happy and prosperous new year.

2007 was a big year for ya, and just think in 2008 you finally start in the IT industry!
