United States of America 2009

It has been some time since I last made a post here. I’m trying to make at least one post per week. In my defence I have been a bit distracted with my new job. After just over two and half years I had to leave my old job due to unforeseen circumstances in December last year. This left me with a few issues, one was defiantly the money and the other was that I really liked the job I was doing so I had to find something I like doing or better. I think that I may have found that.
As of the 21st March 2011, I’m now a Web Developer at FirstMac Limited. It is a step down in responsibilities from my last job, but a nice increase on the money side of things, kind of win-win on both fronts. Not only that I’m now playing with ASP.net and SharePoint, something I can add to the skill set on the résumé. The people I now work with and the environment that I work in is very positive and looks like I might enjoy working there.
When I first played the original LittleBigPlanet game on the Playstation 3 I though this game could be the beginning of a massive community game. Boy how things exploded! I wanted a new platform game to provide my need to have something that really just required a run, jump and grab function to have a break from all the fast paced action titles. I began making levels and characters in the game and playing what other people had created.
So when I heard that LittleBigPlanet 2 would allow for all my original LittleBigPlanet content to be used, the first work that came to my head was awsome. So I pre-orded my copy as soon I could. To my suprise the game also game with a 6″ plush sackboy. So I’m now making the effort to collect them.
If you have ever tried to bath a cat you will know that there is no easy way to do that as they do not like water. When I came out and saw this it was a classic chance to take a photo.
I’m not sure that the cat was trying to get out of the rain as there was no rain, and the umbrella is under a covered area. It may have been trying to hide from the dozen or so birds that have decided to eat the cat food, and the birds wonder why the cats attack them.
One of my other passions is cooking, and nothing is better than a freshly baked cake. The only way to make that better would be to add chocolate. So for my Mum on her birthday I decided that I would bake her a cake and this is what the outcome was.
It all started in 2008, I decided to get my passport and I was going to go overseas for a holiday in the near future. It was not until early in 2009 when I decided that I wanted to go to the United States. As I was planning my trip I spoke with a good friend from university only to find out he was also planning a trip around the same time to the same place, kinda.
Since I was young I have always wanted to go to Disneyland and I thought this would be a great chance to complete a childhood dream.
